Hi Mark :-)

I'm listening into the call you are having with a friend of yours and you mentioned that it was geared more toward the UK. However, I found some of the key things you have said very relevant to how I think and feel about how marketing is approached in various demographics. I may be paraphrasing here, but you said something close to, "The American market is a lot like a Cappuccino. There is a lot of froth, but not enough coffee." and you are completely right about this. So many people rely on the fluff and hype disguised in "comforting" words rather than accepting facts and knowledge as what should comfort us in tough times. I remember the Great 1933 Depression during the World War II through my Grandparents. In that time, they relied on facts and knowledge to be their comfort and guide to survival. This makes me think to myself, is our generation being reminded of what is truly important through the dark shadows of the Recession and are we re-learning how to allow what really is to comfort us? What you have said is a wake up call that reminded me of what we really need on an international level and as a whole on the Internet.

I really do appreciate the different perspective discussed in your call.
