So, many people contact me and tell me that they already have a website, maybe a friend, a colleague or a professional company have built a website for them. Then they are looking to get some traffic! Getting visitors to your site can be done two ways, you can pay for the traffic with PPC, adwords, yahoo searh marketing, or MSN. Or you can optimise your site for the organic search engine results. Really two ways Paid or Free!
Free sounds pretty great to me however to be realistic it depends on your target keywords, phrases , the competition you are up against and of course it will take time to optimise your page title, tags and content!
This is where you can do your homework and there is more to it than I could possibly post into this page however an initial start is to check using the Google Keyword Tool that Google sees your site as Relevant for the market you are looking to attract. If Google sees your site as all about tennis shoes and actually your site is all about tennis elbow, then you will be showing up in the natural search engine listings for the wrong target keywords.
I hope you use the tool to interogate your site and at least you then know what google thinks your site is about.
